ArtConnects is a Brussels-based booking agency representing artists and ensembles from diverse countries whose musical roots lie primarily in Ottoman Makam music (or Turkish Classical Music) and Eastern modal musical traditions. We support musicians who honour their heritage while engaging in a broader, global musical dialogue — connecting tradition with contemporary creativity and worldwide musical expression.
At ArtConnects, we believe that music is one of the most powerful artistic forms capable of fostering cultural encounters, building bridges between communities, and nurturing understanding, friendship, and respect through its universal language. We are convinced that, in this way, music can contribute meaningfully to a better world.
Alongside our booking activities, ArtConnects places great importance on traditional music education, especially the classical master–apprentice transmission. We promote this approach through the organization of high-quality workshops and masterclasses led by renowned artists. Since 2024, ArtConnects has been co-organizing in partnership with De Centrale Labyrinth Ghent the Belgian edition of the world-renowned Labyrinth Musical Workshop from Crete.
